Move to Google Classroom

From Monday your work will be posted onto Google Classroom rather than this blog.  There has been a really good start to those that have been practicing this week and submitting their work in this way.   For those of you that have not yet logged in, an email has been sent with the log in information.  Any queries please get in contact.  Rowan@poplarsfarm.bradford.sch.uk or alternatively you can add comments to the work on google classroom.

We are going to learn about the structure of the Earth, how to recognise igneous rock and some of the uses of igneous rock. Maths For this maths challenge you are going to need to persevere to find the solution to this task, the answer will not come to you straight away -remember your learning strategies that you would use in class.  Here is a grid of four "boxes".   You must choose four  different  digits from  1−9  and put one in each box. For example: This gives four two-digit numbers: 52 (reading along the  1 st row) 19 (reading along the  2 nd row) 51 (reading down the left hand column) 29 (reading down the right hand column) In this case their sum is  151 . Try a few examples of your own. Is there a quick way to tell if the total is going to be even or odd? Google Classroom

**Can you all please try and log on so that I can see who is accessing it.  Complete the short curriculum task and I will know that you can use it.  Thank you.   If it asks for a code then please use P0pl#5446 ** I have sent you all an email today inviting you to log in to Google Classroom. This email has your log in details included in it.  I recommend that you cut and paste the temporary password the first time you use it as it has some funny symbols in it.  Once the temporary password has been entered you will be prompted to create your own (please remember this!)  Work will still be set on the blog until we are all confident on Google Classroom but it has alot of exciting features that we will be able to use.  The one that I am most looking forward to is Google meets where we will be able to have secure video calls and see each other again!
