Maths

How would you find the solution to this problem?  You could make the squares from pieces of paper and colour them in if you need to build the puzzle.

English

One of my favourite books is 'Tuesday' by David Wiesner.  It's a picture book, therefore it doesn't have any words.  You can follow this link to see the book.... Tuesday by David Wiesner

Above is an image from the book.   Can you consider the following questions? Use modal verbs to answer the questions (may, might, would, shall, will, can, could, must, should, ought)

What different things might Rusty (the dog) go and do next?

What might the frogs do next?

What will the Rusty’s owner notice in the morning?

What action will they take?

How could this have turned out differently?

What advice would you give to Rusty and his owner?

Now watch this version of the story... Tuesday by David Wiesner

What is different from the first version that you watched?
Which do you prefer?

Can you create the next book in the series...Wednesday?  What would it be like?  Be as creative as you can be, let your imagination go.
